A great commitment, first of all, in the patient and tireless search for wood, old or even antique, to recover and transform into the furniture you can buy. It is not easy; you go looking for hidden ceilings of old houses in decay, for old beams in abandoned ruins; you find antique furniture no longer restorable in the cellars and attics of noble houses.

The aim is to transfer into our furniture that charm that only the slow passing of the years can give to wood, that patina of nobility and subtle mystery that the material we love most acquires luster after luster. Afterwards, once the raw material has finally been found, it is the care of our craftsmen that does the rest. The wood is cared for, cut into workable pieces, sanded and smoothed. Slowly the material transforms, comes to life.

All the previous work would perhaps be lost if we relied on the cold work of machines, so at MOBILI DI CASTELLO manual work is still precious and dominant.

Finally the piece of furniture is ready, in one of the many forms that our complete line includes. It is finished with hand-applied wax, or decorated with motifs that recall our past full of culture.
